What To Expect At Your First Visit

New Patient Forms
Upon entering our office, you will complete our new patient forms. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information on your condition.

Health History
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Shannon Kelly to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for the doctor to learn more about you and your condition.

Physical Examination
After your consultation, Dr. Shannon Kelly will perform a complete chiropractic examination. This will involve inspecting the injured area and performing certain tests to determine the exact injured tissue and the root cause of your problem. Common tests include neurological and orthopedic testing, posture analysis and functional movement screens. Radiographs (x-rays) and other forms of imagining may be requested if necessary.

Report of Findings
Upon the completion of the health history and physical examination, Dr. Shannon Kelly will give you a detailed report of the exam findings, your diagnosis and then a recommended plan of management to help you recover as quickly as possible.

Treatment
Based on the finding and your diagnosis, a treatment plan will be developed for your specific condition. This may include a combination of spinal manipulation, soft tissue therapy, and physical rehabilitation. If necessary Dr. Kelly may choose to co-manage your case with another health care provider such as your family medical doctor or your nurse practitioner. This ensures that all aspects of your health are looked after in an optimal manner. Patients will be required to consent to all treatment and outside medical referrals before they are completed.

Wellness Program
Preventative care and wellness programs are designed to prevent future injuries and promote optimal health and function. To learn more about this program please make an appointment.
